The Winslow Boy
By Sir Terence Rattigan
17th September - 8th October 2005
SYNOPSIS
A powerful and moving drama, “The Winslow Boy” is based on the celebrated Archer-Shee case of 1908 which nearly brought
down the British Government.
A young naval cadet is expelled from his college for stealing and the boy's father is determined to clear his son's name.
Taking up the case on the father's behalf is one of England;s most famous and gifted barristers who finally brings the case
before the House of Commons itself. The battle cry “Let right be done!” divides the country and strikes at the heart of the
British Constitution.
A truly inspiring human drama and one of the great works of the 20th century.
