Each year the Dolphin Theatre appoints one or more adjudicators who cannot be involved with any production that year. Their task (most enjoyable) is to see at least one performance of each show, and decide on the award winners for that year. The Annual Award Cups that are presented evolved over time, consequently the earlier years do not have the full range that is now present.
